FONA passes will be issued to parents of Midshipmen without regard to home of record.  In addition, their is no requirement for frequency of visits.  Simply by virtue of having a son or daughter in the Brigade entitles parents to a FONA pass.

Company Officers are required to submit necessary data using the template provided by the USNA Security Office.  Incomplete or incorrectly filled out spreadsheets will be returned, resulting in processing delays.

Rental cars will be handled in one of two ways:

1) A parent in possession of a FONA pass for their POV who travels to USNA via rental car should bring their FONA pass with them.  They should present their identification, rental agreement and FONA pass to the clerk at Pass & ID and a temporary vehicle pass will be issued for the length of their visit.

2) A parent who travels to USNA solely via rental vehicle will be issued a FONA pass on which the vehicle information will be labeled "Rental."  Gate sentries may request the rental agreement and driver's license to verify access.

Company Officers will be the authorizing official for all Midshipmen parent FONA passes.

Only PARENTS of midshipmen may apply for and be issued FONA passes.  Other family members, fiances, and girl/boyfriends are not eligible.  In the event a non-parent relative is acting in a non-loco parentis  capacity or a non-parent is the guardian of a midshipman, contact the Security Officer.  Company Officers shall not authorize FONA passes for their own families or acquaintances nor for those of the Company SEL."
