The majority of graduates are engineers or technical majors.  For students with backgrounds or strong interest in other fields of study, majors in social science and humanities related to the naval profession are offered.

Near the end of plebe year, students choose a major course of study with the aid and support of academic and military advisers. A total of 19 majors are offered -    http://www.usna.edu/acdean/courses/courses.html
